Hey all you cool cats and kittens 😂😉 today on the blog is a dress that I honestly have been dying to make. Only reason I say that is because I absolutely love this pattern and finally got the perfect fabric to make it with. So let’s get down to the review!

Pattern Description:

Wrap front dress, self-tie, sash or button front. Short and ¾ full sleeves, A: double ruffle hemline.

Pattern Sizing:

6-14. I cut a size 8

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?

Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow?

Pretty straightforward.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?

What I love the most about this pattern is the fact that it’s a true wrap dress. What I didn’t like was how short the dress was. Along the front skirt wrap piece, it was cut very high into my crotch area. It wasn’t noticeable, but I was a little too high for my comfort. Next time, I’ll hack the pattern so I can make that particular piece longer to my liking.

Fabric Used:

Bubble gauze from Joann fabrics. https://www.joann.com/bubble-gauze-solid-color-fabric/zprd_17020371a.html (Mimosa color)

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:

Instead of gathering the ruffles, I did pleats. Gathering on my machine is a nightmare (don’t know why) but I refuse to gather, I’ll do pleats lol.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?

I would!

Conclusion:

Overall, it’s a very nice pattern. There are some minor details in this dress, that in my opinion were unnecessarily tedious, but I didn’t make the entire look of the dress.
